Overview
The genesis of Sarwadi Finance Private Limited can be traced back to the establishment of Nipha Finance, a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), on 15th November 2016. Rooted in the ethos of financial inclusion and driven by the vision to uplift underserved communities, Sarwadi Finance Private Limited was formally incorporated on 27th March 2017 in Guwahati, Assam.
Since its foundation, Sarwadi Finance has remained steadfast in its mission to broaden financial access for low-income households across the under-penetrated districts of West Bengal, thereby fostering sustainable socio-economic transformation.
Sarwadi Finance has always been a cherished vision of our late founder, Mr. G. D. Shah, and is now being nurtured and carried forward by the next generation with the same passion, values, and commitment to inclusive growth.

Our Mission
At Sarwadi Finance, we aim to empower financially underserved women by providing income-generating loans. Our lending approach is built on the Joint Liability Group (JLG) Model, where small groups of borrowers collectively take responsibility for each other’s loans. This model not only enables women with limited or no collateral to access formal credit but also builds a sense of trust, community, and shared growth.
