The spirit of NIPHA is not just limited to smooth operations and being big. I started with only a modest machine shop in 1960. The forte of this organisation lies in its people and the values it cherishes. Never lose sight of these two.
At NIPHA, the legacy of our founder, Mr. Ghanshyam Das Shah, continues to inspire generations. Born on January 17, 1937, in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, Mr. G. D. Shah embodied resilience, vision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. From his early days in a modest household to building a globally respected enterprise, his journey is a testament to determination, integrity, and innovation.
In 1960, Mr. G. D. Shah founded NIPHA, operating initially from a one-room office. Through his visionary leadership, the company grew into a trusted partner in industries such as agriculture, railways, electrical switchgear, and jute machinery. His pioneering efforts modernised facilities across Africa and India and left a lasting mark on industrial excellence.
Beyond his entrepreneurial success, Mr. Shah was a pillar of the community and a strong advocate for education and social welfare. He founded J.B. Shah Girls (PG) College in 1982 to empower young women through education. His humility and fairness earned him love and loyalty across generations.
He also served as Chairman of EEPC, President of Bharat Chamber of Commerce, and Director of Export Import Bank of India, championing India’s trade and industrial growth. Today, NIPHA stands tall as a reflection of his values — innovation, integrity, and excellence.
